EPA Lead Renovator Certification (RRP)
EPA Lead Renovation, Repair & Painting (RRP) Initial and Refresher Courses
All Hazard EHS is an EPA accredited training provider for both 8-hour initial and a 4-hour refresher certification. As of April 2010 anyone who performs renovation, repairs, or painting in pre 1978 housing or child-occupied facilities must be Lead-Safe Certified by the EPA. Courses consist of interactive training with an experienced instructor, hands-on activities, student manual for reference, and the EPA approved Lead Renovator Certification Exam.
8, 24, and 40-hour HAZWOPER
Attendees will learn how to identify physical, chemical, and biological hazards and how to mitigate hazards on the jobsite or at their facility. Attendees will learn how to respond to a hazmat emergency incident and the cleanup efforts involved. Administrative and engineering controls and personal protective equipment for hazmat projects will be discussed. Handling of hazardous substances and wastes and corresponding OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations will be reviewed. Class consists of both classroom instruction and hands-on exercises.
Confined Space Entry and Rescue
One-day training course for confined space entry and rescue personnel. Training will include both classroom training and hands on rescue drills. During the classroom portion of training, we will discuss engineering controls, confined space plans, PPE, roles and duties of confined space personnel and rescue procedures.
DOT Required Hazardous Materials Transportation
Attendees will receive an overview of transportation regulations, packaging, labeling, manifesting, and transporting hazardous materials in this 8-hour course. Attendees will also learn how to respond to emergency situations during transportation of hazardous materials and protect themselves and other employees from exposure to hazardous material spills during transportation. This class is important for those employees who come in contact with hazardous materials or waste during any stage of transportation. This class is taught in accordance with 49 CFR, 29 CFR, and 40 CFR.
Respiratory Protection
Topics discussed include: procedures for selecting respirators, types of respirators, medical evaluation requirements, fit testing procedures, proper use of respirators, cleaning and maintaining respirators, proper storage procedures, identification of respiratory hazards in the workplace, limitations on use of respirators, and respiratory program requirements.
Bloodborne Pathogens
Topics discussed include: Epidemiology and symptoms, modes of transmission, exposure control plans, identification of tasks that may involve exposure to blood, administrative controls, engineering controls, safe work practices, personal protective equipment, decontamination procedures, safe handling of waste, hepatitis vaccinations, exposure incidents and post exposure follow-ups, emergency situations, signage and labeling and the contents of the Cal-OSHA standard.
Hazard Communication
Information regarding chemical safety in the workplace and the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) is covered during training. Topics covered include: hazard classification, labeling systems, safety data sheets, and information on chemical safety and emergency procedures.
Heat Illness Prevention
Topics covered include: risk factors for heat illness, contents of the Cal-OSHA standard, acclimatization, water consumption, different types of heat illness including signs and symptoms, reporting procedures, emergency procedures, and supervisor roles and responsibilities.
Aerial Lift Operator
Class includes classroom presentation, written test, hands on practice and skills test for scissor lifts and boom lifts. Topics covered include responsibilities and safe operating procedures for aerial lifts, safety inspections and operations tests, and limitations, hazards and controls.
Forklift Operator
Class includes classroom presentation, written test, hands-on practice and skills test. Topics covered include responsibilities and safe operating procedures for forklifts, safety inspections and operations tests, and limitations, hazards and controls.
Lead Awareness
Class attendees will be trained on the specific requirements of the Cal-OSHA lead standard, operations that could result in an exposure to lead, respiratory protection and personal protective equipment, health effects, medical surveillance program requirements, engineering controls, and safe work practices.
Asbestos Awareness
Class attendees will learn how to identify suspect asbestos materials and hazards, respond to emergency situations regarding asbestos, how protect themselves and other employees from exposure to asbestos and know the regulations and notification procedures regarding asbestos and asbestos waste. This class is important for those employees who come in contact with asbestos but do not disturb asbestos or presumed asbestos containing materials.
Silica Awareness
Class attendees will learn the health hazards associated with silica exposure, specific tasks in the workplace that could result in an exposure, measures to implement to protect employees from exposure, the specific requirements of regulations pertaining to silica, components of a medical surveillance program, and the responsibilities of the designated competent person.
Fall Protection
Classroom topics that will be discussed during training will include, different types of fall protection and various applications, proper donning of personal fall restraint/arrest systems, user inspections, proper care, maintenance, and storage of fall protection, fall hazard assessments, limitations of equipment, and all applicable OSHA standards and requirements. Class will consist of classroom instruction with hands on activities and skills tests.
Hazardous Waste
This class is designed to provide attendees instruction in the handling, proper storage, labeling, manifesting, and emergency response procedures related to hazardous waste. All information is taught in accordance with applicable OSHA health and safety regulations, California Code of Regulations Title 22 and EPA 40 CFR.
